The Assignment? Show up. Sit down. Stay awhile. Drink coffee together. Take a short walk. Listen to stories nobody else hears anymore. Help with cooking and a little housekeeping. Help someone stay steady in their own home. No rush. No heavy care. No chaos. Just presence.
Who This Role Was Built For
Retired adults who aren’t finished yet. People who still notice when someone disappears from their routine. People who believe time is the most valuable thing they can give. Especially seniors willing to support other seniors.
The Schedule
About 10 hours per week
Predictable. Close to home. No surprise coverage calls. No winter driving assignments. Snowbird schedule welcome. Vacations respected.
One Honest Detail
Sometimes someone needs help using the bathroom. If that happens: We train you. We prepare you. We match comfort level. We match gender preference. Nothing unexpected. Nothing forced.
What This Job Is Not
Not lifting. Not medical care. Not rushing between houses. Not being treated like backup staff. This is one relationship. One home. One person who notices when you arrive.
What Actually Happens When You Do This Work
A phone gets answered again. Lights turn on earlier in the evening. Someone starts walking outside more often. Someone laughs more than they did last week. Isolation loses ground.
